Cockney Kings Fish & Chips

I have been going to Cokney Kings for over ten years and I will miss it. I just disvovered that their fish in the Mon-Wed special is BASA from Vietnam and southeast asia. The assumption was that it was cod. Additionally, when I have ordered halibut, the fillet is about 1/4 inch thick and coated in about two inches of batter. Disappointing. Sad to say goodbye but not worth the money anymore.

I have never been treated so badly at any other eating place then here by one woman.....she says nothing but is still very rude....I eat out every day and have never felt this animosity from anyone else.....she is short and has wavy close to the head hair...I have decided not to return to cockney kings for this reason....and my family has been going there for years for many special occasions as a bunch and many times just to eat.....I rate this poor because of this one woman....if they can keep on someone like this I don't think they have much business sense

The best fish and chips ever. My sister has to have it when she visits from Toronto and talks about it all the time ( She is a fabulous cook and only likes homemade except for the fabulous Cockney Kings fish and chips.

The best fish and chips in town. Tasty halibut and cod. Batter is not too heavy and not greasy like most other places. I often feel a bit nauseous after eating at other places but not at the Cockney. Fries are blanched first, so they are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Delicious! Take out is even a better deal (much cheaper) and that is my only complaint the dine-in price is significantly higher. Otherwise, you will not be disappointed with the Cockney King. Rating Overall excellent, but should adjust their dine-in pricing.

This restaurant is consistently good. The fish is fresh (the halibut is divine), and the homemade chips are yummy. Three days a week they have all you can eat and it's the perfect destination if you have a big appetite.

The best fish and chips in Canada. Coming from England where Fish and Chips originated, i've never found proper fish and chips, until i went to Cockney King Fish and Chips in Canada. The COD is cooked to perfection, and the coleslaw really is the best i've ever tasted. Service is excellent, price is great, food is awesome. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Not only are the fish and chips lovely and golden a sign of fresh oil, the colslaw is the best I have ever had. The price is right and the servers are all nice looking young men who are very friendly!
